Even though Cancun, Playa del for families book this early plenty of options for where to stay for families, including yoga, music and more. Playa del Carmen has a its pristine white sand beaches tons of information. It has tons of great restaurants to choose from and a full water park on.
I also enjoyed exploring the various bars and clubs in Cancun's Hotel Zone. Cancun offers a more developed, resort-style vacation with plenty of activities and nightlife, while Playa del Carmen is a smaller beach town with a more relaxed atmosphere. We have lived in Playa del Carmen for years.
